Originally from western Cameroon, David K is one of the youngest members of a large family. He discovers music very young and finds comfort and means of expression. He consolidates his growing passion in choirs and various performances.
His professional career began in 2007 with the song Il t'aime encore, title of his first album. The second album, Comme des Frères, is released in 2008; then If you knew in 2010.
In 2013, the single "Through the Fire", which speaks about the tests of faith, is published.
That year, he made a remarkable performance at the Gospel Musical Awards ceremony in front of more than 6,000 spectators.
It was in 2014 that the album À Travers Le Feu appeared, featuring a collaboration with Cameroonian singer Queen Eteme on a cover of the negro-spiritual Kumbaya.
In 2015, David K launches the first edition of My Hope Music Festival, a meeting and exchange platform for seniors and young musicians and cultural actors.
In addition, David K has been the artistic director of the Gospel Musical Awards (GMA) for several years. He receives at the 2016 edition a special prize of the jury.
